Since 1976, Mary Mother of the Church has gathered the people of Macquarie Fields for daily Mass, the sacraments, prayer and practical care for one another. Whether you are a lifelong parishioner, new to the area, or simply searching — there is a place for you here.
Our Mission
Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Parish exists to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ present in Macquarie Fields and the surrounding suburbs of south-west Sydney. As a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), our parish provides a place of worship, Catholic religious services, teaching, pastoral care and social support for people of every age, culture and background.
Our parish is served by the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) — the Divine Word Missionaries — an international religious congregation dedicated to sharing the Good News across cultures. That missionary spirit shapes our parish: we are proudly multicultural, and our community reflects the rich diversity of Macquarie Fields itself.

Our doors are open to people of all ages, cultures and circumstances. In line with our charitable purpose as registered with the ACNC, our ministries and services support:
Sacramental preparation for children, family-friendly liturgies, and support for parents and young people growing in faith. Families are the heart of our parish life.
Regular pastoral visits, and Communion brought to those in aged care or unable to leave home, so no member of our community is forgotten.
Practical assistance, a listening ear and connection to local welfare services for those experiencing financial hardship, isolation or crisis.
Macquarie Fields is one of Sydney's most culturally diverse communities — and so is our parish. Whoever you are and wherever you come from, you are welcome at our table.
Join us for Mass at 58 Edgar Street, Macquarie Fields. No booking is needed, no experience is required, and there is always a warm welcome waiting for you.
